Blogging Resources

Hello fellow blogger! :-)

Below are resources I’ve used for my own blogging and find invaluable!

Some are tools, some are people who provide great blog training in one form or another. If I have a video that can explain a little more about the specific blogging resource I’ll include that as well (or at least a link to the video).

Quick Aside: Some of the links below are affiliate links for which I receive a commission. But I can guarantee you that if I list a resource here it’s because I use it or have tested it. I won’t recommend anything here that I haven’t personally used!

31 Days to Build A Better Blog

By Darren Rowse of ProBlogger31-days-to-build-a-better-blog

This is easily one of the BEST tools I’ve purchased for blogging! I wish I could say I diligently went through every step in 31 days- but no. I have however gone through the whole thing and have gone back to it MULTIPLE times!

There may be some tasks that seem simplistic or that you think you know already, but I cannot recommend ENOUGH that you take the time to actually go through EACH suggested task. Some are harder than others (and will require some revisiting), but this book definitely helps take a little of the fear out of blogging (what should I blog about, who wants to read me, hitting a block, etc.). Even where to find great blog topics for your niche!
WELL worth it!

The Ultimate Blog Post Promotion Guide

By Kristi Hines of Kikolani.com

Even though this book isn’t necessarily set up in a step-by-step guide, I can guarantee that you’re going to want to take Blog Post Promotion Guide by Kristi Hines of Kikolani.comyour time with this an go through each of the different blog post promotion ideas one at a time! This ebook has SO much value in it! Try not to get overwhelmed when you get it and look at all of the things that you should (or could) be doing to promote your posts and articles. I’ve printed this ebook (truth be told… I’m a little old school about this and tend to print good ebooks most of the time).

This ebook is structured in a very easy to follow format (which is great because there is SO much information here). Under each section (part), Kristi has a ‘pre’ and a ‘post’ section – what to do before, what to do after. There are 11 different sections that will give you tangible, how-to’s to promote your posts (and there are tons of screenshots showing you what to do- so for those of us who love the visual, this book is ideal!!!).
